Curiouser and curiouser!

Bring your picnic to Oxford Botanic Garden and take part in the annual celebration of all things Alice!

Opera Holland Park is bringing Will Todd’s family opera, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to life this Alice's Day, 7 July. Join Alice and the Mad Hatter for more than just a tea party, with an adventurous, immersive and intriguing promenade workshop. From 2pm there will be opera performances from Alice and interactive storytelling by her friends.

Delve deeper into the quirky and exciting world that is Wonderland, follow our curious trail around the Garden, enjoy live music, plant crazy vegetable seeds and have your face painted with a big Cheshire Cat smile.

You will be able to sow your own topsy-turvy seeds to take home, explore our seed pod handling collection and crazy carnivorous plants, and see how many answers you can find to the jokes in our wacky treasure hunt trail.

Why not visit the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Tent, have a go at dressing up like an Alice character and try your hand at some Alice-themed arts and crafts.

Drinks and cakes will be available from Jericho Coffee Traders, ice creams from G & D’s and beer and cider from The Shotover Brewery and Hitchcox Cider.

Free entry for children with a paying family member.
The event is free with entrance ticket.
