Head to the Conservatory to see our Christmas Tree which has been decorated by children from Oxfordshire schools aged 4 – 11. The children each make two decorations – one to take home, and one to make our tree look fabulous!
Our tree shows how you can use natural materials such as seed heads, flowers, cones, berries and leaves to create a fantastically festive display, while staying eco-friendly and sustainable. The materials for these decorations have been gathered from our collections at the Botanic Garden and at Harcourt Arboretum.
If you are feeling festive, don’t miss our Christmas Fair on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd Dec!
While you are in the Conservatory look out for our resident robin. Don’t worry, he’s not trapped! Small birds like robins, wrens, and blackbirds often spend a lot of time in our Glasshouses. While other birds migrate to warmer climes in the winter, these clever birds have found a shortcut to the desert and the rainforest!
While you are in the Walled Garden look out for wintery treats such as snowdrops, mistletoe, and winter blossom.
