Family Friendly Events at the Garden

Making leaf lanterns for autumn at "Lovely Leaves" October 2015

The Garden provides a series of fun, family friendly activities throughout the year including drop-in holiday activities, family backpacks and insightful trails around the Garden.  Join us for craft activities, sowing and growing as well as exploring the beautiful Garden and Glasshouses.  All our family friendly activities are free with entry to the Garden, however we do encourage donations to cover the cost of materials.

These activities form part of the collective offer from the Oxford University Museums and Collections, and the current leaflet listing all of these events can be downloaded here.

Most of our family friendly activities are suitable for primary school age children, however we also run activities specifically for the Under 5s.  Details of all upcoming events can be found below, and details of past events can be found here

We have full toilet facilities, including disabled access and baby change facilities.  We are also able to provide seating for breast-feeding mothers if required.  All family friendly events are both wheelchair and buggy friendly.
