February 23: Victoria Summerley, London: An Unexpected Paradise

Victoria Summerley is an award-winning journalist and author. She will be taking us on a personal tour of some of the gardens in her book, Great Gardens of London.

March 9: Richard Mabey, Botany and the Imagination NOW CANCELLED and replaced by

Nick Bailey: The Road to Chelsea.

March 23: Caroline Holmes, Bory Latour-Marliac – the source of water lilies, before and beyond Monet

Caroline Holmes is a garden historian, lecturer, designer and author.  Her talk will explore the history, science and pleasure of Latour-Marliac and his legacy.

 

The Thursday lectures start at 20:00 and are followed by a glass of wine.

The lectures will take place in the Nelson Mandela Lecture Theatre, SaÏd Business School, Park End Street, Oxford OX1 1HP
