Our conservatory, (with its wonderful winter display), was the perfect setting for our Recycled Christmas Family Friendly Event. Children and grown ups had a festive and creative morning, making beautiful wreaths, Christmas cone creatures and decorations made from reusable materials. We had decorations made from paper and even jingle bells made from Nespresso coffee pods! Lots of money from the cake and refreshments stall was raised for Maggies (a local charity). Thank you to all who came and thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers from the University Museums Volunteering Service who gave up their time to help on the day.
Our next family friendly event will take place on Wednesday 15th February from 11am-1pm. We will be exploring 'Fairtrade- Take a break' as part of 'Fairtrade Fortnight'. We will have lots of crafting and cooking activities going on in the garden, aswell as some activities for the very young ones! We hope to see you there.
