The Arboretum, with its acid soil, open space and informal serpentine walks and rides, provides the perfect companion to and yet antidote for the Botanic Garden. The collection of plants for which the University is now responsible is more diverse and more comprehensive than has been possible at any time since the founding of the Oxford Physic Garden in 1621. | |||||||||
